I called in an order for pickup the night before Thanksgiving last week, and stopped in on my way home from work. I ordered the Camarones al mojo de ajo, which came with rice, beans, fries, and several corn tortillas on the side. The meal was delicious! The portions were generous, and the shrimp were drenched in a tasty garlic sauce, just how I like it! It was hot and ready in about 15 minutes. When I went in to pay, the only other customers were watching a soccer game on TV. The gal at the register was helpful and friendly. Next time I'll have to try eating in, since the dining area is welcoming and cozy. Don't pass up this little gem!
Amazing!!!! I can not emphasize this enough. I had the Chili Relleno. It was so delicious! I will be back for sure!!! Props to the cooks and all the customer service was great too!
EXCELLENT FOOD!!!! Very friendly staff and clean! Can't wait to come back! Food is fresh and home made! Including the beans(no cans) and the tortillas!
Good food and friendly service. I tried a burrito and it was not the best I've had, but it was pretty good. I ordered a super burrito and didn't find the guacamole that was supposed to be inside, but it was still pretty tasty. The salsa served on the side was delicious. I'll be back to try some of the other menu options.
Before you discover Taqueria Cortes two words that describe this amazing restaurant are Wonderful and Marvelous because the food at Taqueria Cortes is so delicious. My mom and I found this wonderful restaurant and decided to place an order through UberEats and within minutes our food arrived and when my family tasted the food it scored a perfect 10 and my mother loved the amazing Caldo De Res and my father loved his burrito a lot. And my rice and beans plate was so marvelous and I wondered how they did the refried beans so good. I was so surprised that I swear that it was like going to your grandmother's house to eat Mexican food as a guest. I'm surprised many people in Salinas haven't heard of Taqueria Cortes because it's a hidden gem. The service we got was excellent and really great too and after trying this restaurant my mother and I plan to make it our go-to Mexican restaurant and with awesome prices Taqueria Cortes is one restaurant that everyone should try if you want to experience authentic Mexican food in Salinas
Always best service, the food is absolutely delicious!! We've tried several items in the menu, and never disappointed. The best are their shrimp dishes, spicy salsa and enchiladas!!
